SCOR provides your physician offices HIPAA compliant anytime access through a secure web application on a hosted server.
The SCOR web application receives regular schedule updates from your local scheduling system so that users are presented with a virtual real time view of their case schedule, as well as openings in the schedule appropriate for their cases.
Since SCOR pulls data from your local scheduling system, you only have to maintain the schedule in your local system.
SCOR only allows users to see schedule data and access schedule openings for which you give them permission. In addition, the ASC scheduler reviews all case requests and has final say on how cases go on the schedule.
Here is an example of how the scheduling process works:
SCHEDULING A CASE THROUGH SCOR
- The ASC creates user accounts for its physician practice users.
- The MD scheduler logs into the ASC’s SCOR site through a secure web portal.

- They choose to Search Schedule Openings and then provide basic case requirements (including procedure(s), physician, equipment, and any other special case needs) and select the date (or date range) that they are looking to schedule.

- The requirements of the case are then run through the SCOR scheduling rules engine, which checks the ASC’s existing case schedule for appropriate openings based upon the requirements of the case and your ASC’s scheduling rules.
- The scheduler is then presented with a list of pre-screened appointment openings to choose from.

- After selecting an appointment time, the scheduler completes the process by filling out the registration form, which is an intelligent customized form built per the requirements of the ASC to ensure collection of all necessary information to schedule the case.

- Once registration form is complete, a hold is placed on the requested timeslot and the ASC scheduler is sent a notification to review and process the case.
- When the case is confirmed the MD scheduler receives online confirmation.
